Description

To explore the anti-diabetic potential of the white muscardine silkworm, we prepared its extract and evaluated the antioxidant capacity and α-glucosidase inhibition of the methanol extract. Non-targeted metabolomics methods were then employed to study the characteristic metabolites of the white muscardine silkworm. The chloroform extract concentrate exhibited strong α-glucosidase inhibition, which may be attributed to the presence of alkaloids, unsaturated fatty acids, and their derivatives.
