Description

This dataset contains the data and replication materials used in the study “Emissions Trading Systems and Industrial Combustion CO₂ Emissions: Dynamic Evidence from G20 Economies.” The study examines the relationship between emissions trading system (ETS) adoption and industrial combustion CO₂ emissions across G20 economies over the period 1990–2023. The repository includes the dataset used for the empirical analysis and the corresponding replication code. The empirical analyses include benchmark fixed-effects and EKC-augmented specifications, doubly robust group-time treatment effects, Sun–Abraham interaction-weighted event-study estimates, randomization-based placebo tests, and sample-composition robustness exercises. Detailed instructions for reproducing the empirical results are provided in the README file included with the replication code. The materials are shared to facilitate transparency and reproducibility of the study.
