Description

This data is quantitative in nature and was collected using a structured questionnaire to understand the implementation arrangement of existing groups, the willingness to repay the loans, and the predictors of loan repayment. This was group level data collected from 96 groups from 9 districts as listed: Adjumani (10), Isingiro (9), Kamwenge (13), Kikuube (6), Kiryandongo (4), Kyegegwa (12), Lamwo (14), Madi-Okollo (6) and Yumbe (22). Additional information collected from the village revolving fund groups were related to group demographics such as name of the group, membership of the group members, main economic activity involved in by the group, the record keeping management arrangements, lending system and management, interest paid, loan recovery mechanisms among others.

Methods used: The data was collected using the quantitative tools that collect information on the willingness to pay credit; Protocols: The tools were tested through the pilot study to establish the validity and reliability of the use of the data to generate robust research findings Instruments: Mainly the quantitative tools were used to collect the information from the village revolving funds groups: The tools were used to collect data on the demographics of the groups, the main economic activity engaged in by the groups, the management of the loan system as well as the record keeping, the loan recovery mechanisms, the willingness to pay for the credit as well as the interest rates charged on the loans , reagents, software or workflows if any?
