Description

This dataset presents comprehensive sphingolipid and metabolite profiles generated from a comparative study of wild-type and ceramide synthase 2 (CerS2) null mice, encompassing quantitative measurements of 259 individual sphingolipid species across 18 distinct tissue types. The data includes detailed sphingolipid profiles focusing on key measurements such as ceramide 1-phosphate, C26-sphingolipids, and t18:0-LCB ceramides, along with metabolomic profiles spanning six major metabolic pathways. These measurements provide a thorough comparison between wild-type and CerS2 null mice, offering valuable insights into sphingolipid metabolism and its broader metabolic connections, particularly relevant for studies involving ceramide synthases and tissue-specific lipid metabolism.
