This is a student performance dataset to assess 21st-century thinking skills in physics. The dataset comprises physics ability in critical and creative thinking and students’ responses to the test instrument regarding its usefulness and practicality.

Steps to reproduce
The dataset was collected in mid-2024 by a paper test in three senior high schools in a densely populated city in Central Indonesia.
