Data supporting the study of solar photovoltaic deployment, bird conservation value, and alternative siting in China

Description

This dataset contains the derived data and analysis outputs supporting a study of solar photovoltaic (PV) deployment, bird conservation value, and alternative siting in China. The repository includes derived bird biodiversity indicators, species inventories, administrative crosswalks, analysis-ready datasets, statistical model data, counterfactual PV allocation records, summary tables, and figure source data. These materials support analyses of the relationships among solar policy, observed PV deployment, bird conservation value, and the potential reduction in biodiversity exposure through alternative siting. Restricted third-party source data are not redistributed. In particular, original BirdLife International species distribution data must be obtained separately from the data provider under the applicable terms. Information on data provenance, variables, processing, and relationships among repository files is provided in the accompanying README.
