mtCOI sequence alignments and population genetic analyses of Aphis pomi and Aphis spiraecola associated with apple in India and worldwide
Description
This dataset contains the curated mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (mtCOI) sequence alignments and analytical outputs underlying a comparative study of Aphis pomi and Aphis spiraecola associated with cultivated apple in India and worldwide. The archive includes the exact datasets used for genetic diversity and neutrality analyses, maximum-likelihood phylogenetic reconstruction and nucleotide-substitution model selection, TCS haplotype-network analysis, and AMOVA/pairwise \(F_{ST}\) analysis. The final genetic-diversity datasets comprise 107 global and 52 Indian A. pomi sequences standardized to 622 bp, and 205 global and 21 Indian A. spiraecola sequences standardized to 519 bp. Combined global + current Indian datasets comprise 159 A. pomi and 226 A. spiraecola sequences and yield 11 and 26 unique haplotypes, respectively. Exact maximum-likelihood input matrices, haplotype-frequency and membership tables, PopART trait tables, Arlequin input/output files, and machine-readable statistical summaries are included. Superseded working datasets and obsolete analyses are not included. The dataset is intended to enable independent verification and reuse of the mtCOI population-genetic analyses reported in the associated manuscript.
