Description

336 graduate student surveyed to determine if motivation to learn in optional or mandatory online discussion forums differed across demographic factors. Findings show statistically significant results for student age and program delivery method and motivation to learn. Comparing data in narrative demonstrated all demographic data surveyed produced appreciatable results that should be considered by academic personnel.
