To evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of virtual reality technology in outpatient hysteroscopy for improving pain and anxiety management and promoting the diffusion of see & treat philosophy.

Steps to reproduce

The effectiveness of Virtual Reality was assessed by evaluating pain and anxiety using numeric rating scale (NRS) scores from 0 to 10 reported in a pre and post procedure questionnaire (subjective criteria) and monitoring heart rate (HR) and respiratory rate (RR) before and during the procedure (objective criteria). Satisfaction rate, time length and success of procedure were also evaluated.
