Description

We wrote an article entitled "Interception effects and driving mechanisms of enclosure walls on soil organic carbon in slopping crops of the anning river basin (SW China). ), which contains the data of soil properties (such as SOC, DOC, etc.) and environmental factors (such as slope, altitude, etc.) of sloping farmland fence and the R language code plotted in this paper.

Steps to reproduce

The investigation and sampling of the EWs plots were conducted from early May to late June 2023. As illustrated in Figure 3, samples were collected from both the upslope position and down position sections of the sloping croplands for each plot. Specifically, mixed soil samples were obtained from the surface (0–10 cm), middle (10–20 cm), and bottom (20–40 cm) layers, yielding six mixed soil samples per plot (a total of 402 samples from 67 plots), along with ring knife samples (18 per plot, totaling 1,206 samples). A GPS-RTK device was utilized, with measurements taken at 0.5 m intervals along the slope in a stepwise fashion, and three rows were measured for each plot. Additional parameters, including slope, elevation, and slope length, were recorded. The collected mixed soil samples were air-dried naturally; once dried, large soil blocks were fragmented along natural fissures into 1 cm³ cubes, with gravel, dead roots, and other plant residues removed, in preparation for the determination of the soil’s physicochemical properties.
