Description

The helical structure of the chiral nematic phases induced by chiral dopants in a nematic liquid crystal solvent provides macroscopic information about the molecular chirality of the dopant molecule. There are various theoretical methods used to relate molecular chirality to the so-called helical twisting power of the dopant in nematic liquid crystals. However, machine learning approaches can be a useful technique for predicting the helical twisting power of a chiral dopant in the nematic phases. This dataset presents a preliminary study of a set of chiral dopants in the chiral nematic phases.
