Steps to reproduce

Data were retrieved from the Scopus database on 24 May 2026 using the following search query: ("Device" OR "electrochemistry biosensor" OR "sensor" OR "detector" OR "aptasensor" OR "voltammetric" OR "potentiometric") AND ("synthetic cannabinoid" OR "cannabis" OR "cannabinoids") AND ("analysis" OR "detection" OR "identification"). The search covered publications from 1978 to 2026. Initial records were screened following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Non-relevant subject areas, non-article documents, and incomplete records were excluded. The final dataset consisted of 397 publications. Bibliometric cleaning, harmonisation, analysis, and visualisation were conducted using BiblioSpy® (Ahmi, 2026). The dataset was analysed for publication trends, citation performance, source titles, countries, institutions, highly cited publications, and keyword co-occurrence networks.
