MPU6050 Gyroscope Data for Posture Tracking and Analysis
Description
Description This dataset contains gyroscopic angle measurements collected using the MPU6050 sensor, a 6-axis motion tracking device that integrates a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer. The data was gathered for real-time posture monitoring and analysis, enabling applications in posture correction, physiotherapy, and ergonomic assessments. The dataset can be used to train machine learning models, including LSTMs, for real-time posture tracking and classification. Data Collection The MPU6050 sensor was attached to the upper body to measure posture changes. The sensor streamed real-time data wirelessly using the Phyphox application. The dataset consists of angular orientation values derived from the integration of gyroscope readings, which track movement in three axes (X, Y, Z) over time. Dataset Features Timestamp: Time of measurement. Angle_X (°): Tilt along the X-axis (forward-backward). Angle_Y (°): Tilt along the Y-axis (side-to-side). Angle_Z (°): Rotation along the Z-axis. These angles represent posture orientation and can be used for human movement analysis, rehabilitation, and workplace ergonomics. Potential Applications Posture Correction: Identifies poor posture and provides feedback. Ergonomics & Injury Prevention: Helps design safer workspaces. Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy: Tracks post-injury recovery. Sports Biomechanics: Assists athletes in maintaining proper form. Machine Learning for Posture Analysis: Ideal for LSTM models to predict postural changes. Use Cases & Future Work This dataset can support real-time posture tracking solutions, AI-based posture correction systems, and wearable health applications. It can also be combined with accelerometer data for improved accuracy. This dataset is a valuable resource for computer vision, AI-driven health monitoring, and biomechanics research.
