P2P Lending to Vietnamese - PhD thesis
Description
This dataset contains individual-level survey responses on the factors influencing borrowers' intention to use peer-to-peer (P2P) lending services in Vietnam. Data were collected shortly after Decree No. 94/2025/ND-CP on the regulatory sandbox mechanism in the banking sector (Fintech sandbox) took effect on 1 July 2025. The data are primary, cross-sectional, and self-reported, comprising 525 valid observations measured on a 5-point Likert scale. Each observation includes one screening item, five demographic variables, and 56 reflective indicators measuring 16 latent constructs. The constructs are organized under the Technology, Organization, Environment (TOE) framework and integrate five theoretical lenses: the Technology Acceptance Model and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (TAM/UTAUT), the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), Trust Theory, Institutional Theory, and the Information Systems Success Model. The dataset was used to estimate a structural model by Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Keywords P2P lending; fintech; behavioral intention; PLS-SEM; TOE framework; platform trust; digital financial literacy; regulatory sandbox; emerging market; Vietnam. Data files in this package Raw survey data (one row per respondent, one column per variable), 525 valid observations. Data dictionary (this document, plus the accompanying machine-readable CSV file Data_Dictionary_P2P.csv). Measurement scale with sources (see the data dictionary below). Constructs overview The measurement instrument comprises 16 constructs and 56 indicators. All indicators are reflective and were measured on a 5-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly disagree; 5 = Strongly agree).Demographic variables and coding
