Description

Supplementary information includes supplementary Figures S1-S2 and Tables S1–S8. Figure S1 is the micrographs of sandstone composition types and features. Figure S2 is the cathodoluminescence images of representative zircon grains. Table S1–S2 are raw grain counts and recalculated detrital modes for the Late Cretaceous sandstone of Enshi, Jianshi, Laifeng, and Qianjiang basins. Table S3 is relative abundance (expressed as frequency %) and provenance-sensitive index ratios of heavy minerals. Table S4–S8 are LA-ICPMS zircon U–Pb ages of Enshi, Jianshi, Laifeng, and Qianjiang basins.
