Description

Supplementary Information corresponding to the data presented in Figure 3 from FEBS_Viewpoint from Francisco S. Mesquita, Laurence Abrami, Arthur Samurkas, and F. Gisou van der Goot_2023. Figure Data corresponds too. 3A. Statistics for total (23898) H. sapiens protein entries in the SwissPalm database (swisspalm.org) showing: Left proportion of transmembrane proteins – 36.9%; Right SwissPalm annotated S-acylated proteins (identified in palmitoyl-proteomes and/or validated experiments B. Vero E6, KO-ZDHHC20/9 co-expressing spike-HA (WT or 10C-A mutant) together with myc-ZDHHC20Long or empty plasmids (KOZDHHC20/9) were metabolically labeled with 35S-Met/Cys for 4 h and chased for (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 5, and 7 hours – h). Quantification of radioactivity incorporated in spike-HA-immunoprecipitated fractions was set to 100% for T = 0 min for WT-expressing KOZDHHC20/9 cells. Results are mean ± SD, n = 3. C. SwissPalm annotations for human (9606) and mouse (10090) proteins annotated with the indicated Gene Ontology (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/QuickGO).
