Source Data provide comprehensive measurements of molybdenum (Mo) isotopes and major- and trace-element compositions for deep-sea sediments from the western Pacific Ocean, specifically cores GC112 and XT19. They also report Mo concentrations and their proportional distributions across sequential-extraction phases, along with Mo isotope compositions within the Fe–Mn (hydro)oxide fractions of both cores. For context, Supplementary Datasets 1–2 compile published global pelagic sediment data, including Mo contents, δ⁹⁸Mo values, and related geochemical parameters, to facilitate comparison.
