Meteorological data measured by an urban climate monitoring station installed at ITSON´s central campus in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico
Description
This dataset contains several meteorological variables recorded between June 2021 and November 2024 employing a low-cost meteorological station deployed in the central campus of the Sonoran Instituto of Technology (ITSON for its acronym in spanish) located within the urban limits of Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, México. The low-cost station was deployed on the roof of Building 500 at the ITSON central campus. Becuase the confinement caused by COVID19 and lack of solar energy at the station during periods of heavy cloud cover, some long periods without data are observed. The variables measured with one-hour resolution included air temperature, maximum air temperature, minimum air temperature, relative humidity, maximum relative humidity, barometric pressure, maximum barometric pressure, panel temperature, wind speed, maximum wind speed, rainfall and battery voltage.

Steps to reproduce
Meteorological variables were measured and recorded by installing a low-cost urban monitoring station consisting of the following sensors and components: An adafruit SHT10 digital temperature and relative humidity sensor, a GY-BMP280 barometric pressure sensor, an adafruit sku-1733 analog anemometer for wind speed and a Texas Electronics TR525 typing bucket rain gauge for rainfall measurements. All sensors were controlled using an Espressif Systems SP32 microcontroller while data was sent via WiFi and recorded using a Google Sheet.
