Description

This dataset contains greenhouse gas flux measurements and nitrous oxide isotopocule data obtained from controlled laboratory incubation experiments using agricultural soils collected from 24 fields in Latvia. The dataset includes measurements of nitrous oxide (N₂O), methane (CH₄), carbon dioxide (CO₂), and ammonia (NH₃), together with N₂O isotopic composition (δ¹⁵N, δ¹⁵Nα, δ¹⁵Nβ, δ¹⁵NSP, δ¹⁵Nbulk, and δ¹⁸O). Soil samples represent different farming systems (conventional and organic), soil types (clay, sandy, and organic soils), crop types, tillage practices, and two moisture regimes (aerobic and anaerobic). Measurements were performed using Picarro G2508 and Picarro G5131-i cavity ring-down spectroscopy analyzers. The dataset supports research on greenhouse gas emissions, nitrogen cycling, nitrification and denitrification processes, isotopic source partitioning, agricultural management impacts, and nitrogen budget modelling.
