This dataset contains the underlying process simulation and scale-up data for aqueous 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium glycine ([Hmim][Gly]) used in post-combustion CO₂ capture. It includes Aspen Plus® model validation data (density, viscosity, and CO₂ loading), column sizing parameters for a 6.4 MWe biomass-fired power plant, internal temperature and loading profiles, and a direct performance comparison with 30 wt% MEA. The data demonstrate improved regeneration efficiency and reduced reboiler duty, supporting the technical feasibility of ionic liquid-based carbon capture systems.
