Description

This dataset contains de-identified responses from the 2026 Leadership Landscape Survey, examining women’s experiences of flexible working, caring responsibilities, leadership progression and gender equality in Welsh workplaces. The survey received 220 responses, including 188 from women, and captured participants’ working arrangements, work–life experiences, caring responsibilities, leadership capability and aspirations, access to development and influential support, perceptions of promotion processes, attitudes towards women’s leadership, organisational equality delivery and direct experiences of gender-based workplace barriers. The cross-sectional data were collected through a voluntary online survey from respondents working across a range of sectors, organisation sizes and career stages in Wales. The dataset is suitable for secondary analysis of workplace experiences and perceived organisational conditions but, because the sample was self-selecting, should not be treated as statistically representative of all women working in Wales or used to establish causal relationships. Survey data is available is csv and sav format. Supporting documentation is a pdf copy of the survey questionnaire with initial results as captured in JISC. Ethics approval is from the University of South Wales.
