Description
The "crown_rot_peru "file is a file describing crown rot assessments of commerial shipments of bananas from Peru to Europe in the 2015-2021 time frame.

Steps to reproduce
The data set consists of almost 7000 data points of shipments of organic bananas from Peru to Europe. Every line contains the pack date (pd) from the port of Paita (PEPAI), whether or not the container was set to be operating under controlled atmosphere (1% O2, 5% CO2), the discharge date (dd, date of opening container and performing quality check), the transit time (days - number of days between container packing and opening, days = dd - pd), the % of mild crown rot (CR, serious crown rot (CRC) and a weighted crown rot index C = CR + 2*CRC. Crown row was assessed by trained banana surveyors on 5 boxes per container load of 1080 boxes according to a proprietary protocol.
