Piffer et al., SAP Activity 2026
Description
Sap activity from C. albicans supernatant from parental, sap1-3 and sap9 mutant strains. Analysis of aspartic protease activity from the supernatant of three distinct strains was evaluated. Sample content was normalized according to the protein content. A total of 2 µg of supernatant protein was used to determine the Sap activity. (A) The activity was evaluated for 45 minutes, and the experiment was performed in triplicate. Activity levels were expressed in FAU (Fluorescence arbitrary units). (B) The area under the curve was calculated as an integrative parameter of total enzymatic activity and multiple comparisons between conditions indicated statistical differences. Statistics were performed using a one-way ANOVA with Dunnett’s multiple-comparisons test (p <0.05). ****, p< 0.0001.
