Description

This dataset corresponds to a cross-sectional methodological study on the cultural adaptation and psychometric validation of a brief sexual satisfaction scale among Mexican university students. The sample included 310 sexually active students aged 18 to 25 years. Data were collected through electronic administration following a cultural adaptation process that included expert evaluation and pilot testing. The dataset contains responses to the adapted version of the scale, ultimately composed of 11 items distributed across two dimensions: physical/personal sexual satisfaction and relational/emotional sexual satisfaction. This two-dimensional structure explained 67.1% of the total variance and demonstrated satisfactory goodness-of-fit indices and excellent internal consistency. One item related to sexual activity frequency was removed due to inadequate psychometric performance. The data allow replication of content validity, construct validity (exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses), and reliability analyses. They are useful for researchers, clinicians, and sexual health professionals interested in assessment, research, and intervention in the Mexican university population.
