These data were used to perform the statistical analyses presented in the paper "Nutrient resorption strategies in four Amazonian tree species: interspecific differences and responses to fertilization" Leaf resorption plays a key role in conserving nutrients in sites of low fertility, such as the soils of Central Amazonia. In tropical ecosystems, phosphorus (P) is often a limiting nutrient, and species adapted to P conservation may adjust their resorption mechanisms when soil P availability is altered via fertilization. These changes can influence resorption efficiency and, consequently, plant growth. Given that fertilization is a common silvicultural practice in forest plantation management, we investigated whether increasing soil P availability through fertilization enhances leaf P concentrations and modifies P resorption efficiency in four Amazonian tree species (Apuleia leiocarpa, Bertholletia excelsa, Hymenaea courbaril, and Dipteryx odorata).
