Valentina Vidal M.Description
We studied the attraction of rhinoceros beetle, Strategus aloeus, to male-specific compounds identified in male's glands. We conducted olfactometric bioassays with Strategus aloeus adults to three male-specific gland compounds, alone and combined. Briefly, our study showed that tested compounds and mixture showed a significant attraction (p <0.01) to males and females, suggesting their semiochemical function.
