A Centennial‑Scale Hydro-geomorphic Dataset for the Middle and Lower Yangtze River
Description
This dataset provides the underlying hydrological, topographical, and remote sensing records used to investigate the historical evolution and future trajectories of anabranching channels in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The repository includes: (1) long-term hydrological and sediment records for key stations (e.g., Yichang, Hankou, Datong), (2) digitized multi-temporal historical survey maps, (3) annual spatial databases of mid-channel bars extracted from Landsat imagery since the 1970s, and (4) measured topographic cross-section data for calculating specific channel erosion-deposition intensity. These datasets provide a crucial physical basis for assessing morphological thresholds and conducting adaptive river management under prolonged human interventions.
