Description

This dataset provides the supplementary data, variable documentation, statistical outputs, robustness checks, and figure/table source materials accompanying the manuscript “A configuration-site unit-based stratified paired framework for highly heterogeneous linear engineered greenways: In situ evidence from short-term soil surface CO₂ flux responses to dicyandiamide and straw biochar.” The dataset supports an in situ field study conducted in the Jiaozuo urban section of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project ecological corridor, China. The study evaluates short-term soil surface CO₂ flux responses to dicyandiamide and commercial straw biochar under a configuration-site unit (CSU)-stratified paired design. The archived materials include 198 collar-level soil CO₂ flux observations, 132 CSU × block × monitoring-window paired lnRR effect estimates, variable dictionaries, treatment and material metadata, raw-flux diagnostic summaries, CSU-clustered and block-clustered statistical outputs, leave-one-CSU-out robustness checks, CSU-level descriptive summaries, and source data for the supplementary tables and figures. The dataset is intended to make the CSU-stratified paired framework transparent and reproducible while preserving the interpretation boundaries of the field experiment. The data support inference on short-term soil surface CO₂ flux responses and diagnostic comparisons between unstratified and CSU-paired analyses. They do not support annual carbon-budget estimation, ecosystem net carbon-sink assessment, mechanistic attribution of amendment effects, vegetation-configuration causal ranking, or separation of DCD dose effects from initial soil nitrogen background.
