Description

This dataset contains supporting data and analysis materials for a manuscript on nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and soil retention across community-managed mixed deciduous and dry dipterocarp forests in Northern Thailand. The files include site-level forest structure data, soil chemistry data, nutrient-retention outputs, replacement-cost valuation outputs, figures, tables, and reproducibility documentation.

Steps to reproduce

The dataset and analysis materials can be used to reproduce the statistical analyses, figures and tables reported in the manuscript. First, download all files from this dataset and keep the folder structure unchanged. Second, open the master dataset and data dictionary to review variable names, units and site codes. Third, install the required Python packages listed in the requirements file. Fourth, run the analysis scripts in numerical order, beginning with data merging, followed by group comparisons, correlation analysis, PCA and hierarchical clustering, PERMANOVA, allometric regression, Monte Carlo replacement-cost valuation and path analysis. Fifth, compare the generated output tables and figures with the manuscript tables and figures. Some raw plot-level inventory data may be available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request, subject to ethical clearance from the partner communities.
