This data belongs to a sample of 3382 students from 5 different zones, gazetted as drug-burdened hotspots in Malaysia. The data consists of the sample's demographic characteristics and the prevalence rate of psychoactive drug use among school-going adolescents. The Alcohol, Smoking, and Substance Involvement Screening Test (ASSIST) was utilized to measure the frequency of drug consumption by type and the adolescents’ involvement in drug abuse and drug-related behaviour.
