This dataset supports a study on damage response intervals for internal defects in metro rail steel using ultrasonic inspection records. It includes anonymized processed inspection data, geometric samples, model metadata, response histories, response summaries, figure data, plotting scripts, and Fig. 6 broken-bond segment data. The shared data contain 59 parseable inspection records, 55 valid internal inspection records, 60 LHS propagation samples, 6 single-point cases, and the processed data underlying Tables 9–12 and Figures 4, 6–10. Raw ultrasonic inspection records are not included because they contain location-sensitive infrastructure-maintenance information.
