Air–soil Temperature Monitoring Dataset from Coatzacoalcos (Mexico)
Description
This dataset contains temperature monitoring data for the air-soil-subsurface profile in a hot-humid climate and sandy soil environment located in Coatzacoalcos, Mexico. The primary objective of this data collection is to analyze the thermal dynamics, heat transfer, and temperature profiles across the vertical soil column. The following files are included: Temperature_Dataset_Coatzacoalcos_Mexico.xlsx: The master file containing the complete dataset, summary statistics, and the 9 vertical temperature profiles integrated as charts. Temperature_Raw_Data.csv: The raw data file containing time-series measurements of air temperature, soil surface temperature, and subsurface temperatures at different depths (from -10 to -50 cm). 9 Heatmaps (TIFF): Visual representations showing continuous temperature variations over time across the monitored depths. Nine representative days are provided. 9 Thermal_Profiles (JPG): Graphical representations of the vertical temperature distribution in the soil column for nine representative days. Methodology Brief Measurements were collected using calibrated temperature sensors deployed vertically from the air down to the subsoil in a sandy matrix. Data was recorded from April 6, 2025, to August 1, 2025, at 1-minute intervals.
