Description

Poly-3-hydroxybutyrate was subjected to degradation by ethylenediamine, 4-diaminobutane and monoethanolamine in solutions of N,N-dimethylformamide and 1,4-dioxane. 0.02 mol (1720 mg) calculated by a monomer fragment (86 g/mol) of poly-3-hydroxybutyrate was dissolved by heating at 100°C in 86 ml of a solvent. After that, amines were added, mixtures continued to heat, periodically taking samples of 5 ml. Precipitated with four times the volume (20 ml) of isopropyl alcohol. Molecular weight for all samples was measured three times.
