Description

The dataset contains an excel sheet of the data on 67 Ghanaian insurance brokerage firms from 2007 to 2015. The data were painstakingly extracted from the annual financial statements of the brokerage firms. The variables in the data include Total debt, Total assets, Fixed assets, Current (monetary) assets, Net income, Equity, and EBIT. Inflation and GDP, both being macro-economic data are also present. Based on the variables extracted from the statements, other variables were created like TDTA (total debt to total assets), TANG (Fixed assets to total assets), FLEX (current assets to total assets), Size, ROA, ROE, and RIsk. This data was used for the research paper "PROFITABILITY OF INSURANCE BROKERAGE FIRMS IN GHANA". To cite this paper; Owusu-Sekyere, F., Kotey, R.A (2019).
