Data for: Pyrometamorphic aureoles of Cretaceous sandstones and shales by Cenozoic basic intrusions, NE Brazil: Petrograhic, textural, chemical and experimental approaches
Description
We present chemical data for two sets of samples as follows: (i) whole rocks and minerals of Cenozoic volcanics and thermally affected sedimentary rocks of the Cretaceous Potiguar Basin in northeastern Brazil (Figure 1); (ii) minerals and glasses produced by experiments of fusion followed by quenching with the natural volcanics and sedimentary protoliths of (i). The complete set of chemical data is in Supplementary Material Tables as follows: (i) Table 1 with electron microprobe analyzes of minerals of buchites; (ii) Table 2 with whole rock composition of sedimentary protoliths and pyrometamorphic rocks; (iii) Table 3 with oxide composition of starting materials (basalt, shale, sandstone) and experimental results; (iv) Table 4 with electron microprobe analyzes of minerals of basic intrusions.
