A cross-sectional survey was conducted among licensed GPs in Flanders, Belgium. Data were collected via an online survey using Qualtrics and analysed with SPSS Statistics. Ethical approval was obtained from the Medical Ethics Committee of the university. Data were collected using an adapted version of a questionnaire used by Demedts et al. (2023). The questionnaire was adapted to reflect the opinions of GPs. The survey included four demographic questions: age, gender, years of practice, and involvement in euthanasia. Additionally, the questionnaire contained 21 questions about the roles and competencies of nurses. The questions were answered using a 5-point Likert scale: "strongly disagree," "disagree," "neutral," "agree," and "strongly agree”. The survey was created using the online questionnaire tool Qualtrics (Qualtrics; Qualtrics XM, 2024). The analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Software, Version 29 (SPSS; IBM Corp., 2024) Descriptive statistics were used. Subsequently, the average scores by age category (21-30y, 31-40y, 41-50y, 51-60y, +60y), gender (male/ female), previous involvement in euthanasia (yes/ no), and years of practice as a GP (0-10y, 11-20y, 21-30y, +30y) were compared using an independent samples t-test or one-way ANOVA.
