This dataset tests the hypothesis that feed type alters gill metabolome and thermal tolerance in Siniperca chuatsi under elevated water temperature. Gill metabolomic data were obtained via LC-MS/MS from fish fed two diets and acclimated to 28–34 °C. Data show feed type dominates metabolomic variation; metabolic pathways shift with temperature, and live prey improves sublethal thermal tolerance without changing lethal thermal limits. The dataset can be reused to investigate diet‑thermal stress interactions in carnivorous fish, with full sample metadata provided for reanalysis.
