Description

The IP-SDS-DD dataset contains instances for scheduling identical parallel machines with sequence-dependent setup times, due dates, and internal and external jobs. The main characteristics for the 108 instance subsets are: Number of jobs / machines: n=20 --> m= 2 or 4 n=40 --> m= 2, 4, or 8 n=80 --> m= 2, 4, 8, or 16 Share of external jobs: 0%, 25%, 50%, or 75% Type of weights: woW, WVL, or WVH The subset names are "IP-SDS-DD-n20-m2-EXT00-woW" or "IP-SDS-DD-n80-m16-EXT50-WVH," for example. Within each subset, the following attributes are used to randomly generate five instances (numbered by #1 to #5): Processing time variability (ptv) U[35,65] vs. U[10,90] Setup time severity (ssf) 0.35 vs. 0.7 Setup time diversity (sdf) 0.4 vs. 0.8 Tardiness factor (tf) 0.35 vs. 0.7 Due date range (rdd) 0.75 vs. 1.5 This leads to 160 instances in each subset. Instance names are, for example, "IP-SDS-DD-EXT25-n20-m4-woW-PVH-ssf0_35-sdf0_40-tf0_35-rdd0_75-#1". More details on the instance generation can be found in a paper that is currently under review.
