This dataset contains preliminary investigations on using chemical modulators for enhancing biomass productivity of Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942. The analysis showed that some of the modulators could be effective biomass triggers and can act at very low concentrations (20 - 1000 nM). Moreover, a basic economic feasibility also indicated some potential modulators that could be carried forward. The dataset could potentially be useful for targeted algal farming, especially for biomass.
