MSNs–ZnO were synthesized and characterized as antifungal agents against F. graminearum and A. flavus. The MSNs were used as the carriers of ZnO release to prolong the duration of the antifungal effects on toxigenic strains. These compounds promoted morphological alteration in the fungi structure, leading to strong antifungal and antimycotoxin effects.
