Pumbed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) were systematically searched from database inception to 4 June 2026, without language restrictions. Reference lists of relevant reviews and included studies were also manually screened to identify additional eligible studies. The search strategy combined bone-related concepts and aspirin-related concepts. Bone-related terms included osteoporosis, osteopenia, bone density, bone mineral density, bone loss, bone resorption, bone formation, osteogenesis, bone regeneration, fracture, and bone metabolism. Aspirin-related terms included aspirin, acetylsalicylic acid, and ASA. Broader analgesic and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug terms were used during retrieval to maximise sensitivity, but final inclusion was restricted to aspirin or acetylsalicylic acid exposure or intervention.
