This dataset supports the article “Rethinking Tourism Pressure: A Multidimensional Composite Index Capturing Growth and Spatio-Temporal Concentration”. It includes the processed provincial-level indicators used to construct the Tourism Pressure Synthetic Index (TPSI) for 107 Italian provinces. The dataset contains raw and normalized tourism-pressure indicators, the magnitude-dynamics component (M1), the spatio-temporal concentration component (M2), the main TPSI, the arithmetic equal-weight benchmark, the modified DP2-PCA specification, ranking results, robustness checks, and data used for the low-base effect diagnostic analysis. The indicators are based on official tourism and demographic data, mainly from ISTAT, referring to 2023 and to the 2013–2023 tourism-growth period.
