Description

Hourly and daily tree growth (GRO), stem radius changes (Radius) and tree water deficit (TWD) from 89 trees collected in the Czech Republic in the climatically normal year 2021 and the unusually warm year 2022. Metadata for each tree is provided.

Steps to reproduce

The data were derived from raw data collected using automatic point dendrometers D2 (TOMST s.r.o.) that measure stem diameter change with 15-minute frequency. The 15-minute measurements were average for 1 hour frequency and growth (GRO) and tree water deficit (TWD) were calculated using zero growth concept (Zweifel, 2016) using PLOTeR R package. Zweifel, R. (2016). Radial stem variations - a source of tree physiological information not fully exploited yet. Plant, Cell and Environment, 39(2), 231–232.
