Description

The data set includes four files. The first file contains the bulk-rock composition of a metarodingite from the Dabie UHP terrane. The second file contains the major and trace element data of minerals in the metarodingite and its host impure marble. The third file contains the trace element data of minerals and polyphase solid inclusions in the metarodingite and its host impure marble. The fourth file contains the major element data of experimental products obtained for mixtures of chlorite + calcite at 4.5 GPa and 800-850 ℃. The data set can be used to demonstrate that carbonate melting is more common than expected in deep subduction zones.

Steps to reproduce

The bulk-rock composition was obtained by using XRF spectrometry and an Agilent 7500a ICP-MS. The major and trace element compositions of minerals and polyphase solid inclusions were obtained by using EMP and LA-ICP-MS, respectively. HP-HT experiments were conducted by using a 1000-ton walk-type multi-anvil press.
