The dataset includes data of typhoons that made landfall along the southern and eastern China coasts, and data of coral boulders from the reef flat of Xiaodonghai fringing reef indicating super paleo-typhoons, for the article "Super paleo-typhoons striking southern Hainan Island in the northern South China Sea during the mid-late Holocene: Coral boulder evidence from a fringing reef" by Zhou et al.
