ESW dataset
Description
This dataset integrates 354 experimental treatment–control comparisons extracted from 85 peer-reviewed studies published in Chinese and English between 1988 and 2026, sourced from the Web of Science, Google Scholar, and CNKI databases up to March 1, 2026. It documents key experimental details, including geographic location, climatic conditions, initial soil properties, mineral characteristics, and experimental conditions such as mineral type, particle size, application rate, treatment duration, experimental setting, and vegetation presence. Mineral chemical properties, including CaO, MgO, and SiO₂ contents, were also recorded. Data were either directly obtained from the original publications or digitized using GetData Graph Digitizer 2.26. Additionally, the dataset records changes in soil carbon pools, soil physicochemical properties, major elemental concentrations, plant biomass, and crop yield following enhanced silicate weathering, providing explanatory variables for assessing the drivers of soil inorganic carbon responses.
