Stress and passion as predictors of athletic burnout
Description
The dataset consists of 345 athletes who completed a Qualtrics-based survey assessing stress, passion, and burnout. Participants provided self-report ratings on stress, harmonious passion, obsessive passion, and the three burnout subscales of exhaustion, reduced accomplishment, and sport devaluation. The data include complete responses suitable for regression and structural path analysis examining psychological predictors of athlete burnout.

Steps to reproduce
The analyses can be reproduced by administering the same Qualtrics survey that was used in this study, which includes validated measures of stress, harmonious and obsessive passion, and the Athlete Burnout Questionnaire subscales. After data collection, responses should be downloaded in .csv, or .sav format, screened for completeness, and scored according to published guidelines for each scale. Total or mean scores for stress, HP, OP, and the three burnout dimensions should then be computed, followed by descriptive statistics and correlation checks. The primary analyses consist of four multiple regressions predicting overall burnout and each burnout subscale from stress, harmonious passion, and obsessive passion. Researchers may optionally replicate the analysis as a saturated path model in Jamovi’s SEM module to generate a visual diagram using the same standardized coefficients.
