Normative values of upper limb non-equilibrium coordination tests among adolescents

Description

A cross-sectional study, recruiting 65 children of age group 12-17 years with convenient sampling to perform non-equilibrium coordination tests. Participants were asked to perform all tests one by one and the time taken (in seconds) was noted. The mean of three readings was obtained using a mobile based stop-watch. The normative reference values of finger to finger, finger to therapist finger, finger opposition, finger to nose and alternate nose to therapist finger comes out to be 2.28±0.65 seconds, 1.98±0.50 seconds, 2.14±0.52 seconds, 2.19 (2.12-2.41) seconds and 2.21 (2.14-2.44) seconds respectively.

Steps to reproduce

An observational Cross-sectional study held in Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University) Mullana, Ambala, Haryana, India. The study was conducted for data collection at Maharishi Markandeshwar international school Mullana, Ambala, Haryana. The study was performed on healthy young adolescents of age group between 12-17 years. The data was recorded using the statistical software, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20. SPSS Inc. Chicago, IL, USA.
