Description

Description of computing an interlayer interaction potential of FCC orientated crystals. Using the simplest possible model of interatomic potential, a harmonic one, leads to a potential of interaction between layers that is not exactly harmonic. That dynamic interlayer potential is found to depend on mutual displacements of neighboring layers. It is useful in analysis of dynamics of stress penetration.
