Description

SH-SY5Y and HK-2 cells were exposed to citrinin (CIT) for 24 hours. Cell viability of cell lines were assessed via MTT test. 5-methylcytosine levels and expression profiles of genes involved in DNA methylation (DNMT-1, DNMT-3a, DNMT-3b, TET-1, TET-2, TET-3) were measured. CIT and the endogenous DNMT inhibitor S-adenosyl homocysteine (SAH) were docked to DNMT-1, DNMT-3a and DNMT-3b using AutoDock 4.2. pdb files of selected poses are provided.
